Manual Digitizing

This process refers to digitizing performed manually using the mouse, instead of automatic digitizing based on the captured image.

Manual digitizing is preferred when the outline of the captured pattern is distorted, or when the automatic scanning process cannot be completed due to lighting conditions or other environmental factors.

1.) Select the Manual Digitizing icon from the top menu.

2.) Confirm the prompt “Draw the outline in a clockwise direction” by clicking OK.

3.) Select the starting point on the piece to be digitized, then draw the outline by adding points:

• Left mouse button: adds a corner point (red)
• Right mouse button: adds a curve point (green)

4.) When the drawing is complete, press the Enter key to confirm. The end point will automatically connect to the starting point, forming a closed piece.

After the digitizing process is completed, the piece name is assigned as “New Piece 1.”
If multiple manual digitizing operations are performed within the same model, these names should be edited before sending the model to the DesignCad software.
